outboard.lol is a hosted pay-to-rank board. You claim a slug, paste a Dodo Payments API key, and get a public board at {slug}.outboard.lol. Visitors bid whole dollars for rank. Money goes to your Dodo account. The platform never takes a cut of a bid.
Why I built it
outbid.lol made pay-to-rank boards a thing, but you still had to deploy something. I wanted the same mechanic for people who should not be touching Vercel: newsletter ops, niche directories, community leads. Claim a name, connect payments, open the board.
How it works
Operators sign in, pick a slug, and connect Dodo. Each board is a tenant on a wildcard subdomain, resolved from the Host header, with shared Postgres rather than a project per board.
Bidders have no account. They submit a product URL and a bid. Rank is bid size only. Taking #1 costs at least $5 more than the current top. Equal bids keep the older listing higher. You can raise your own listing by paying the difference.
Listings go live on a verified payment.succeeded webhook for that operator's Dodo account. Clicks go out through /go/{id} with no extra query params.
Pricing is 0% commission on bids, then a one-time $10 platform fee after a board's bids total $10. Operators can prepay that fee so bidding never pauses.
